Loss, separation, letting go, giving away: these are themes that run through the biblical story. According to the Genesis accounts, when God created the world, the first thing that happened was that there was separation - of light from darkness, of waters from waters, of water from land. The Centre Project was opened in 1996 to serve the lonely, vulnerable and single people of the city centre. Our aim is to make people feel valued and to meet individual needs. We offer companionship, people to talk to, basic skills groups with qualifications, cheap meals, activities, outings and also host a special needs group. more ...
Room Bookings
Central Baptist Church is an excellent location in the heart of the City Centre. We have 5 rooms available for hiring by the public as well as the Church itself. The Victoria Lounge contains a kitchen enabling basic catering. The Charles Room can be used for up to 50 people and is the perfect location for a celebration. more ...
